So I'm reading rules of the game by Neil Strauss...and I'm about a week in, tonight I went to a mall asking girls the best place to buy clothes for guys and got some good ioi's...the thing I noticed though is that I seem to do better and have less AA with 2-3-4 sets ECT over solo missions...I feel like this is both weird and unfortunate but I'm not sure...so to the senior guys out there why might this be and what can I do to correct it?

You could be uncomfortable doing one-to-one's, in that maybe you feel exposed or in any way vulnerable, maybe you don't think your conversational skills are up to scratch for one-to-one, and also you know if you do a 2-3 set, if there's an uncomfortable or awkward moment you can at least fall back on the others in the set - all valid reasons for preferring 2-3 sets.

Solution? The best thing to do is to just set aside some time to force yourself to do ONLY one-to-one sets and somehow punish yourself if you don't. Accept that not all the interactions will be perfect, but you know you've got to start somewhere to build that specific 'muscle' if it's not strong enough.

Yes that is pretty normal. When I was younger, I felt uncomfortable talking to 2 or 3 girls at a time. One was easier. As I got older I figured out it was easier in a lot of cases talking to 2 or 3 at a time. I think one big reason for that is that each girl is more comfortable when she has her friend with her when a stranger approaches. Some times one won't be certain if the other is interested in you if they haven't already seen you and talked about you before you approach. Even if neither are interested and or both know the other well enough to know she isn't interested or knows her clues, usually at least one will be friendly enough or feel sorry for you enough to be friendly to at least boost your self esteem if you at least seem harmless. They'll make fun of you when your gone.

The first answer is reasonably logical I suppose. But chances go way up for a positive interaction if their are 2 or 3 rather than just one by herself.
