Open in the elevator

I ride the elevator/life in my building every day, so I often meet girls in the elevator. This evening I opened a girl in the elevator, my opener was "Has your quilt ever been stolen when you sunned it on the roof?" We talked for a while. The problem, the elevator reached the ground floor in 10-20 seconds, I can open a girl in the elevator, but the time I can have before we reached the ground is less than 30 seconds, I can't hook her, and I can't get her phone number. Please advise.

Ahh elevator game. Lol. I've been there. It's tough because there seemingly isn't enough time. However you can hold the door open or even get off on her floor to continue the convo. And it's easy to see if she has interest by the way she is responding, so even in a very quick 30 second time period you can get the #. After a very brief opener, quickly exchange some personal info about eachother and say 'let's continue this sometime what's your number'.

"Hey, I'm throwing a party in two weeks and I want to invite people from the building. Do you mind if we exchange numbers?" Even if you're not throwing the party, at least you get the number.

Or: "Hey, I just moved here and I'm looking to meet some cool new peeps. Do you mind if we exchange numbers? Maybe we can grab a cup of coffee or something."
