Consider that she probably gets this all the time (I know one at my place that actually has had many guys go as far as to leave their number with her instead) and unless they are new, have probably had this end horribly in the past. The best way would be to come back like 2 or three times, get a normal conversation going, work some magic, then before leaving, go ahead and ask, might work, might not.
