if you are 18 and she is 16-17 its a safe bet to ask in todays world. creepy choice for you to date someone under 18, but understandable given that is is high school. But if you choose this route be ready for a job interview. Might be a good idea to call the house ask for dad and set up a time you can sit down and talk with them as opposed to just showing up. Shows class and understanding towards their family structure.
just my 2 cents though.
