I'm a belgian guy speaking french and i'm looking alike some french actor. Now, i get a lot of compliment about it and sometimes get opened because of it, the problem is, i don't know how to deal with it, and switch at the right time to get in a real conversation and start flirting.

Anyone knows what i could do?

Well, i'm french and live in belgium (french speaking part) so that doesn't help. Imagine you're looking alike johnny depp, an actor which is pretty liked in general, how would you react when someone comes to you and says : "hey, you look a lot alike johnny depp, i guess people tell you that often."

Coz that's where i get clumsy, if i play it like i don't care, i'm too cocky, if i just say thanks, i don't know, there is nothing that goes on, if i try to play with it and kid about the fact he's the one looking like me, well it usually gets boring at one point and i lose it.

Never hurts to say thankyou when you receive a compliment.

Follow it up with something that makes you better than said celebrity, makes you more than a pretty face.

"You look like Tom Cruise."
"Thanks, although I have been told I'm better in bed than he is."
or
"Thanks, he's always telling me I'm funnier than he is too."
or
"Thanks, if Tom Cruise played the guitar then I'd be able to impersonate him" (obviously you would need to know how to play the guitar for this one".

Follow this up with a compliment about them (You just DHV'd twice, you want to qualify her), specifically tailored to the celebrity.

"You look like Cameron Diaz in Knight and Day, she and Tom get busy in that movie, are you trying to seduce me?"
or
"I reckon you could pick up Tom Cruise if you tried hard enough, is that why you came over here to flirt with me? Am I just practice?" (This is both a disqualifier and a small neg, also gets the conversation sexual.)
