Rock climbing chicks are crazy hot. They need to have firm, flexible bodies to be any good. I've been working on my game exclusively at bars and typically use the David Bowie opener at bars and it has about a 50% success rate at starting a conversation. Problem with it is it is a very random thing to talk to a stranger about. I can pull this off at bars and play it off as I'm just a little drunk and thinking out loud as opposed to just a total weirdo. At the rock climbing gym, I won't be able to do this.

What are some good openers for a situation like ths? I'm looking for something thought provoking that is hopefully tied to the theme of climbing. I've used lines like "what do you think of this route?" Which typically gets a very short response or I use "you climb often?" Which is an obvious pick up attempt that gets the girl immediately on the defense.

Asking about the routes IS a great way to open, but I have no appropriate transition or follow up.

I think if you said "You climb often?" in like the cheesiest most sarcastic way possible with a shit eating grin on your face it would work great.

It's the same theory as walking up to a girl anywhere and saying "You come here often?" but in a joking way like you're aware that it's the lamest pickup line ever.
