It's not too cocky if that is who you are. I'd personally go a little less cocky, the store with care seems a bit excessive in my taste. Sometimes I pretend to get a call when I'm/she's done typing in her number and call her instantly and say something like "Sorry I'm busy talking to a cute girl call you back in 2". Helps if you walk away a bit for added effect.
