hey there!

There's this girl I like who works at a coffee shop. The thing is me and two other friends went there now and then and she's served me. We spoke great but I noticed that this girl doesn't smile when she talks but she has a personality that interests me. She talks as if nothing really matters much in the world.

Anyways walking back home last Wednesday with another friend after work and saw her, she finished her shift and we spoke for a bit. She mentioned that she hasn't seen me in a while - again no smiles (I noticed she doesn't smile with her workmates as well). I ended the convo with a handshake and a 'nice seeing you again.' I know..this was a mistake being formal!

Anyways I want to see her again but I don't want to make it look obvious that I am there at the coffee shop just to see her and talk.

Going with my friends to there was a lot easier as I was there with a purpose...to have fun with my friends over coffee. Whereas now this would be different.

I want to ask her next time I see her at the shop how long is her lunch break and if she wants to have lunch with me during her lunch break (which would be my lunch break period as well). I don't think it will come across as a date or I am "asking her out" and besides I don't think I will have to pay for her lunch as this would be pretty laid back sometime during the working week.

I was thinking of having a short conversation with her at the counter and then mentioning something along the lines of "Oh yeah btw, how long is your lunch break?".."you wanna grab lunch tomorrow?".

All advice appreciated guys!

Should mention my workplace is a 5 minute walk from the coffee shop she works at and I sometimes grab lunch on the restaurants that are on the same street as it.[/quote]
