I think she was the "phisherman" and you the "easy phish".
In one of those glances you should have just give her a smile and continued doing what you were doing... then disapear from her sight for a while... and then suprise her (not with a drink in your hand, not that please, too soon) dancing near her but giving her some distance... and...etc...
It would be one of my probable moves if I WAS INTERESTED IN HER of course.
