I work in a grocery store... I know lame... but I'm 19, I actually get good benefits from there, and the pay isn't that bad considering I've been there over three years now.

Today I was walking down the aisle and got such an obvious IOI from a girl that was GORGEOUS and I froze up and just passed her... part of the reason for this is because I feel really dorky in the uniform.

But anyway, any ideas for how to handle a situation like this if it happens again? Openers? Negs? Anything... I'm so mad at myself.

Actually... now that I think of it... I didn't freeze up... but I held eye contact and smiled. She quickly looked away, but then looked back and held eye contact for a bit. I think she was shy or something.

For me, I think even this was a step, because I'm still new to this, so I'm not that mad... but still... any comments appreciated.

Thats an easy one...You work there, just simply ask "Hey! How can I help you?"
