Hi, today after picking up for a little while I met with this ideal chick that i keep in my mind (at least I think i keep that ideal). Now should i bang my head in the wall for not asking for her number... ?

Here was the situation briefly. I went to the beach at the end of the day about 6 pm. Just to wet my feets in the water. I saw this small size(one of my favorite types) chick come toward me probably to do the same and she was wearing a shirt with a slogan "I love lazy sundays" - So i immediately made a comment on the shirt - Do you really love lazy sundays blah blah, dont u love lazy other days blah blah,. It was just immediately what came to my mind to talk about. but after this the conversation when routine - she asked who am I and what I do and after this I asked the same. It turend out she was about 7 years younger than me. I'm 25 she 18 (but she did't looked like that - i thought she was at least 20 and I don't look 25 neither i look younger). Anyway it turned out she was with some other group - girls and boys and they were about to play beach volleyball.

So I asked if I can join to. (i'm not very good on voley but I don't give a damn about it) . It was a cool game but after it new people came to play on the 'court' and we left. then i kept my walking on the wet sand and my new 'friend' remained on their towels to chill. I was thinking going back to them and start talking about something but didn't knew about what so I just went away.

so yeah - what advice can you give about holding an interesting non boring conversation.

When she asked what do you do, what did you answer?

You should avoid giving direct answers. You should tell her something in the lines of;

"I repair street lamps" or something you perceive as funny at that time.

I'd say that the best solution to your problem is to keep 4 - 5 routines in your head at all times which you can use to entertain / open a group or a girl.

I didn't quite understand whether in the end she stayed with the group or solo.

If she stayed with the group, you could've opened the group by asking "how do you all know each other", or "who lies more: men or women"? type of question (opinion opener).

If she stayed solo, and you find yourself out of things to talk about, then use one of your routines.

Basically, I think routines should be used only and only if you don't know what to talk about.

basically at the end the group slip in 3 - one of the chicks remained to play volley with the others, one of the guys and the other chick went to swim a little, the target HB and one of the guys laied on their towels and started talking. (it was obvious they were just friends since they didn't kissed touched etc., and I knew how do they know each other -they were all about same age like 17-18 probably they study together.One of the guy was communicative he was actually cool to talk with.) but after thy went on their towels to talk I couldn't figure out how to go to them and initiate a chat or something. Probably because they were too young for me and I couldn't find a common thing to talk about. And I cant talk about volleyball since i'm not very good at it. Not my best field to show my talent but at least i did opened a mixed set.

So there's just her and another guy - thats a set of 2 which shouldn't be that hard to communicate with.

I think you should write 4-5 openers / conversation topics for these kind of situations (mixed sets) and remember them and use them in this kind of situations (when nothing else pops in mind).

For example, you could've asked them "how do they know each other?", "are you best friends?" - then run the best friends test if they are, "how long they're staying, etc". Just keep the group opened, and focus more on the guy and not the girl.

It would've helped if you had another guy with you but since that wasn't the case the best thing to do I'd say is to focus on the guy/group, at one point tell them you have to go soon and before you go, try to schedual another beach hanging out if possible.
