Posts: 20 | | anyone have a magic number for the times they will try an opening to poor/fair response before dumping it?
not that it is terrific but i thought i have a solid opening that would lead to conversation that hasn't really gotten a positive response...3 times i have seen a woman at department store with empty cart and said "hey, no impulse buying today, don't get the jet-propelled riding mower unless you are certain you need it"
okay, maybe it sucks, but is it possible lady #4 finds it funny and we hit it off?

I'd say it might be a bit much. It doesn't really leave room for a response either.
I like the "No impulse buys today" part. I'm going to try that next time I'm in a store.
When I go to the store it's nothing but impulse buying.
