Hello,
New to the forums but had a qusetion and was hoping to hear some opinions.
I was at the bank and the girl at the front help desk was helping me change some loan payments to be withdrawn out of my new bank account. She said its a shame I'm leaving the bank and I told her the reason that me and the now ex decided to end things and I took the debt and had to get a new account etc. After chit chat and small talk she finished helping me and winked with a big grin as I thanked her for her help and turned to leave.
About an hour later at home I was figuring out the payments and called the bank I was just at to make sure I had the dates and amounts right, I had no idea because the ex took care of the finances. I got the customer service desk and said what I was calling about and the girl that answered was the one that was helping me earlier. She gave me all the info I was asking about and after a few more words she explained that she doesn't work at the front desk and gave me her direct line "incase I have any other questions, or even if I want to ask the same question" and she slipped in a small chuckle.
This happened monday and the last thing I'm gonna do is act too quick (especially not wanting her to feel like a rebound) but I was with the ex for 7 years and it was a mutual break up so I'm not depressed and we are still good friends. I have dealt with girls that have to be nice at work but of all the people she helped before me she didn't wink or sound as bubbly.
Can people please share their opinions on whether or not I have enough reason to pursue this any further?
Thanks for your views
Just like hired guns in a bar they hire a specific type of personality if they can to work the teller windows and things of that nature. Southwest Airlines for example specifically like to hire cheerleaders, majorettes, etc. they are use to performing, smiling, and being perky.

It kinds of works out for the airlines. Granted a large part of it could be her being just very good at her job, and helping a customer out. She definitely sounds like she deserves an "A" for her work there regardless.
Now is she really into you? There really is only one way to know and that's going to be to go for it. Granted you can try to make excuses to call and talk to her but anything you do will be her in that work mode. You can always go direct, call her direct line, say something like "I don't know if you remember but you helped me with x & y the other day, and I really appreciated how big a help you were. I'd like to take you to xxxxxxx if you are available."
We can definitely piddle around, go into the bank, call her, etc. I just think you'd earn more points by just calling her up. Make sure she remembers who you are, and take it from there. Maybe even say something like, "I don't know if you remember me from the other day but you helped me with x & y. I really appreciated your help yesterday. By chance are you single?"
If yes - "I'd like to take you out to xxxxx if you are available"
If no - "Well that's too bad. He's a lucky man."
Keep it simple and go for the gold!

Either way you don't bank there anymore so you don't have to see her again.
