what are some good openers in these settings that are successful?

Depends wether you wanne go direct or indirect and wether there is a lot of interfering noice or not (noice will ask for a shorter opener).

When indirect I would go with an opinion opener (anything will do, as long as you sound genuine when asking the question.) One I use regurarly is The 5 oceans opener.

Hey, can you name 5 oceans? (stress the you, as if you asked others and are out of options)

If she asks why:

Some girl just came to me, she looked pretty tipsy and ze asks me: how many continents are there? I say 6 off course. Not bad she says, now the real question: How many oceans are there? And name them. Normally I'm not into being interrogated but i played along and said: well, 5 , the Atlantic, the pacific, the indian , the arctic and...damned. I don't remember the fifth one. She said: ahaa! You don't remember it because i put a curse on you and you will forever wonder what the 5th one was if you don't kiss me right now. I told her I was first gonna test how long this curse holds. So hey, do you know the fifth one?




btw, I really don't know the fifth one so nobody tell me because I want to keep it that way until I find a girl that does know.

Opinion openers are really easy and often time get the group into some kind of debate letting you ease into the set

go up beside her make eye contact and break a cube of ice and say"now iv broken between the ice us whats your name"

Opening a table, were a chair is empty:

Hold over the chair, as if you are going to take it.

You: "is this chair taken?"
They: "no"

Sit down at the table.

You: "so what is the subject"

Opening at the bar, if she is standing alone

You: "Hey, where are you're friends?"
Her: "they're sitting over there"
You: "would they mind if I borrow you for a while?"
Her: "erm..."
You: "It'll only take 2 secs, I just want give you a test"(or whatever routine that wroks for you"

Some thoughts on opening
Two openers that I use regularly. The main opener isn't the most important part though. It what you do when you get something thrown back at you, that matters.

Sometimes they will be open towards you, and willing to talk. Other times they will throw shit tests at you.

Use all information/reactions she throws at you to your advantage.
