Im English and when I went there they absolutely loved it, I have heard irish works even better.
Im as of recently living abroad and although my accent hasn't got as much novelty it works well as a conversation topic, normally with girls asking me rather than bringing it up myself.
Theres always the whole "Im new here where can you recommend etc etc" but I have started to find that quite weak. Its fun to play around with though, im still figuring out ways I can use it to its best ability so will be keen to see what others have to say on this topic!
