I was at a bar this past weekend and I was already meeting a girl so I wasn't too focused on gaming per say but just for some practice I opened some girls near the bar while waiting for my drink. Most were simple openers like "what drink are you getting?" and I'd follow with "Oh cool, I'll have to try that" or "Oh wow that's the same kind I ordered bla bla bla"

I guess that's considered a situational opener.

But it never went anywhere beyond that. She would turn and talk to her friends or they would get their drinks and walk away. I was just wondering how do you hook a girl and get her interested after opening her? I haven't read the game/mystery method in years and this has always been a struggling point. I'm just getting back into this. I was wondering if someone could give me a quick answer before I go back and re-read the book.

Also where I was at, it was so packed and I couldn't move. There were tons more guys too. Every set of girls had a few guys. Any tips in that environment?

Am I suppose to engage the guy first in any set that has guys?
