Smile and say, "Hi, I'm DoubleStrip"
"I'm so-and-so, good to meet you."
And continue conversation. I feel like this is still the best opener that one can use anywhere. It communicates confidence and is most certainly alpha behavior. Forgive me if you wanted creativity, but those ones fly off the cuff when you're in the right mood. If you are at a loss for words, stick with hello.

Part of the problem is that the majority of girls have earbuds and are jamming out to their iPod.

Still, it's easy to break the ice by asking her if she's using a piece of equipment that's next to her, or if she's almost done with the piece of equipment she's on now. If she pulls out her earbuds to answer your question, that *might* mean that she wants to make you comfortable with a longer conversation.

So then you might say, "By the way, are you listening to Justin Bieber?" Or some crack like that to create a little tension.

Mind you, it's important that you're not facing her with your body. Have your shoulders turned away and talk over your shoulder. If you go straight up to her and block her path, it's too much.

After you chat about her musical taste (or lack thereof) for a few minutes, say, "OK, I've gotta get on with my workout..." then turn back before she can put her earbuds back in and say, "You seem kinda cool. I'd like to call you some time. What's your number?"

Women don't feel as cruisy in gyms as guys do. They don't like to sweat, and they feel unattractive without make up and wearing tennis shoes. So they're not very flirty, and they don't want to talk to a guy for more than 5 minutes. The good part of that is that it's easy to get a number.

Or dont. THe gym is a sacred place and it's not for PU.
If you have time to even think about PU while you're at the gym, you're obviously not in the zone and thus not working hard enough and are wasting your time.

But if you MUST chat with the girl, notice things about her workout and get deeper. Offer advice if you're qualified. For example, I saw a girl step out of a kickboxing class and start planking. Asked why? Hip injury. One time, she saw me foam rolling and noticed my expression of pain and laughed and asked, "Hurts, doesnt it?" Same girl, saw her stretching with an elastic band. Talked a lil about it, helped her stretch a lil for the kino. But this won't go anywhere - why? Because it's in the gym, and I'm a sick kunt, and I dont shit where I eat.
