Interesting enough I will say that much

I prefer Mystery's philosophy:

Its not about confidence, its about competence.

As someone who has always been good at school but not good at women, to know there is material out there that can show you how to be good with women is fantastic.

The idea of all you need to do is be confident, and just do it, is the philosophy of "naturals".

Most people who chose to learn the game are not "naturals" and therefore need to learn something or other. We are all here to learn, and we arent learning how to be confident, we are learning how to be competent.

That is utterly pointless marketing semantics that means the exact same thing. "Guys, I just discovered a new break through in Pick Up! Forget everything you've heard about CONFIDENCE. Start learning about competence!"

Fact, the more competent you are at something, the more confident you feel about it. How do you increase your confidence with women? By gaining experience with women. How do you increase your competence with women? By gaining experience with women.

I understand that confidence and competence result from the same activities, but they are very different.

It is very hard to tell a nerd (for example) to be confident with attracting women.

However, if you told him that he had to be competent, he would go away and learn the competencies and then do it. Over time, he would become comfident.

Competence breeds confidence. However, confidence does not necessarily breed competence.

Its not marketing, its a philosophy that can be applied to every walk of life, and I think it has particular significance in the Game

You increase them "both" the same way. There are the same thing. Without competence, your confidence is fake.
