I don't really do dedicated "daygame", but tend to meet women when I'm out doing regular stuff.
What I have noticed is that earlier in the day(9am-2pm) it's easier to get a girl on an "instant date", but much harder to get her to agree to go out later in the night.
On the flip side, it's much easier to get her out on a night date if you meet her between 3pm and night fall.
If I meet her after dark, the only thing she's likely to agree to do are drinks, light food or go back to my place. Nothing else. Setting something up for the next day is a no-go.
The later in the day I meet her, the more likely the encounter ends in sex. This is excluding any situation involving alcohol.
I never see the effects of time mentioned in any sort of literature and I wonder if this is just something that only seems to be true for me, or if it's more of a general truth.
What have your experiences been in regards to the effects of time of day?
