So I thought up this opener a couple of days ago. It's true by the way, so it works especially well for me but I thought I'd share it with you guys because every set I've run this with has been really up for discussin the topic.

Dreamy Girl Opener
Garruk: I have a question for you guys, it will only take a second. Alright, so there's this girl who I've been seeing at a few parties here and there. We haven't talked much but she looks good and we've been giving eachother a few glances but never really jumped into conversation with eachother. But a few days ago she wrote to me on facebook. And I'm not sure how to respond to that, because it could mean one of two things: either she just wanted to get it off her shoulders, because we've all had that weird feeling when we remember a dream we had about a person the last night. OR she could have some other intention with telling me. So what do you think?

They: Bla bla bla... so did she tell you what the dream was about?

Garruk: Yeah, believe it or not, it was a wet dream. She said she wanted to go back to sleep after she woke up in the morning. Yeah, apparently I'm a real sex machine in dream land. You know what the crazy part is about this? She has a boyfriend. So what do you think about that, does that change anything?

They: Bla bla bla omg yeah she's interested in you.... (maybe at this point they will say something like this) you should ask her out, because if it affects their relationship that's not your problem, is it? Haha.

Garruk: (continue with random neg) Wow, you're a real bad girl! Is that how you would treat YOUR boyfriend? (or if they're two girls, as happened to me the other night) Yeah, I can tell you're the good one and you're the bad one.

This is cool because it's not only a fun story from my life but also displays pre-selection. It even includes relationship and sex into the convo early on. You can go on with asking questions like "Okay, so if the tables were turned: how would you react if a guy told YOU he had a wet dream about you - would it be the same kind of thing?" You can just go nuts with follow up questions to keep the convo going.

I really like this opener.

This seems good fundamentally however I would be quite wary - by speaking about a potential mate for yourself to these girls, you may end up disqualifying yourself from your set as they think you are keen on this girl who had the dream.
While a neg is a disqualification of oneself as a potential suitor, it does this through a different means which creates attraction.
You may be DHVing by showing you are wanted but it is likely that you will enter a friend zone with your target that could potentially be difficult to get out of.
When your intentions do become known, it is very likely that the question: "But what about the girl who had the dream about you?" will be raised.

But try it out, it is a better opener than a lot I have seen but just be mindful that you might be hitting your golf-ball into a bunker that, while possible, may prove difficult to get out of. Just test it and see if you can chip your ball into the hole in the end

Yeah, a better variation might be "So this thing happened to a friend of mine...". So far it's been working quite well though, but your criticism is definitely valid.
