Sometimes I find someone who I think I will have a shot at opening with, but their headphones are on! Won't I instantly lose rapport for making them take them out just so a stranger can talk to them?

Ask them what they are listening to. I have had that happened to me in the subway, a girl asked me and we talked till she got off the train. but I was too big of a chicken to ask her number maybe because there was too much social pressure.

I can't even imagine how you could lose rapport by asking her to take her headphones out...since you can't have any rapport with the girl before you even approached her.

I have done this once to a girl who was walking by the beach. I got to her side and did something with my hands as if i were taking out my own headphones, so that she would do the same. It turns out she did. I introduced myself (day-game style) and we had a conversation as we walked alongside each other (I was matching her speed).

It turns out she was a bit older than me and she had a boyfriend, but she told me she was very flattered because no one had ever approached her like that.

So guys, it is no big deal to ask them to take the headphones out. They won't feel offended or anything.

Would you feel bad if a cute girl got to you and asked you to take your headphones out for her to talk to you?
I definetely wouldn't mind that.
