For students:

1. Always keep a spare pen in your pocket (not an expensive one, just the buy 50 get 50 free type of pen).
2. Your a walking behind your target. Take the pen out.

YOU: "Excuse me, I think you just dropped this pen." (Show her the pen)
GIRL: "I don't think so. / No that's not mine."
YOU: "Mh, what should I do with a this pen now? Do you think I should keep it"
GIRL: "Keep it."
YOU: (Shocked) "But its not mine! / Wouldn't that make me a thief!"
YOU: (With a smile)"You take it. You don't seem to have that high moral standards."

That's what I came up with until now, anyone wants to follow up or improve, please feel free to do so...

Why not just "i thought you were cute so I had to come and say hi?"

I has question. what do you do when they say yes thats my pen, thanks.? you obviously know that its not their pen, cuz its yours.

this is how i think it would go down:

You: Hey is this your pen? I think you dropped it.
Her: yes, thank you.
You: What? are you serious? that's not your pen, it's mine.
Her: so then why did u say it was mine?
You: (insert next line here)[probably something like because i needed an excuse to talk to you cuz i thought you were cute. *cute smile*]
