No, if you're being introduced to a girl, there is NO need to run an opinion opener. The only reason you would do that is if you're running out of things to say and you just need anything to keep the conversation going.

BUT, assuming that that is not a problem, if you are introduced to a girl, a lot of times you can just start pinging for qualification to see if shes attracted to you.
"So whats your story?"
"So what makes Jessica (insert her name) awesome?" etc...

You can throw in some light teases at first just to spark up some attraction:
"You're SUCH a nerd! I love it."
"Ummmm, I'm gonna pretend not to know you " etc..

But the basic idea is that at first you should just test to see how much "attraction material" you're really gonna need to run on this girl, because a lot times, you won't need to run much at all. You can start testing to see if you can jump into the later stages.

I think sometimes if a step gets skipped I forget where I am and what I should be doing

I tend to have moments where I'll just completely blank out and don't know what to say

I remember later on that night a guy had just blown out with these 2 girls so I came in and said something cocky that they seemed to respond to (don't remember what it was) got some hi five kino and then went into "hold up are you two best friends cause you make the same facial expressions" and they were laughing and smiling but they were lining up to get drinks so once they started ordering their drinks I didn't really know where to go from there

Tell her "I always get introduced to the prettiest girls. Lucky me."

Then that sets you up for a neg in order to disqualify yourself later, and begin the push and pull routine.
