I don't particularly like canned openers, i find that they just sound too awkward. However I was in a club the other day and a fact someone had told me came into my head. I was pretty drunk and decided that I would use it and if it failed then whatever.

Go up to your target and look straight in their eyes and say:

'Do you know what it means if you hold eye contact with a stranger for 6 seconds?'

Without fail, they look into your eyes while they say 'no' and you let 6 seconds pass.
Then follow it with:

'It means one of 2 things, either you want to kill that person, or you want to sleep with them.'

I've used that 3 or 4 times, and it always opens a conversation really nicely and with the right intent.

If anyone else uses it I would love to here the outcome.

Why are you so anti canned routines?

I think that you and the many guys who advocate natural game really don't have a plausible reason to be anti-canned material.

Sure,they'd make a guy seem awkward. But that's why you should(or anyone else)chose openers that are congruent with you and your style as to not come off as awkward.

I guess that could work.

You might want to change 6 to 3 seconds, thats more accurate on a scientific point of view. Ethologically speaking, looking someone in the eye for 3 secs triggers aggressive reflexes and testosterone release (when its 2 guys).

If I tell you that the fact that you have nice conversations, is NOT because of your opener, but SIMPLY you approached her?

I think maybe i don't like canned openers because i find it easy to talk to people. If i can go up to someone and say 'Hey how are you?' or something that simple and can start conversation then why would I want to use canned stuff.

To be honest i mainly posted this because it worked for me and I wanted to know if anyone else uses it.
