| I think gambler talks about how he pre-selects in a club, and to be honest its all completely logical. If you catch eyes with someone across a room instead of looking away, smile, or raise your glass, or literally anything as long as it is obviously aimed at her. She then has a couple of responses.
1. She responds positively -smile back, raises glass, laughs, winks, whatever. This means that you can go and talk to her without worrying that she's not interested, she's already shown she is.
2. She is neutral -looks away quickly, doesn't hold eye contact. This is not necessarily bad but just means that she is not comfortable as comfortable with you yet, she is unsure. In this situation an approach is still on with every chance of success, but you have to bear in mind that she hasn't shown her attraction to you yet.
3. Bad response- laughs (in a malicious way), holds eye contact but does not respond with a smile and simply looks away after. This is most often a bitch shield response, and in general is what the very attractive girls who get hit on all the time do. Again an approach is still on and if you play it right it will work out better for you than either of the other responses. This is because you will have changed her mind about yourself.
I'd like to point out that getting a positive response is pretty rare, especially with the most attractive girls as they have guys staring at them all the time. Neutral is the most common, as people aren't used to seeing someone who is completely comfortable holding eye contact, so they naturally look away. However as I said before this isn't a bad thing at all, it just means you have to work out where you stand first.
Hope to have helped.
