Conversation fishing is probably my favourite method of getting conversations going. I'm sure by the name you can guess what it involves; opening as many girls as possible through verbal and non verbal communication.

Obvious ones are throwing out 'hellos' and making eye contact, but there are some more subtle ones which work really well if you happen to be on your own sat next to a group of girls in a sitting down, tabley sort of situation.

If the group next to you have got some jokes and banter going on, you can easily become involved in that conversation by simply reacting to what theyre saying.

NOTE: what i dont mean is laughing and looking over. Laughing is used way to of as social acceptance, a much better way is through using smirks and shaking your head, smiling.

So, for example, a girl says something a bit stupid. Everyone laughs. You're sat next to them and you smile and shake your head. When this is done congruently, people on that table notice and will invite you into the conversation. nice, eh?

Usually, I'm about as subtle as a brick when opening up conversations with people, so if i can do this then im 100% sure you can!

A fishbowl conversation is a form of dialog that can be used when discussing topics within large groups. Fishbowl conversations are usually used in participatory events like Open Space Technology and Unconferences.
