Observation and conversation. Observe her and make some cool talk. "Wait... You look like you're a writer... thats what I used to do....," etc.

If you are confident and cool she will be receptive and ask about you. Convo just works from there.

Okay, I'll try and implement O&C in daily interactions

Okay, what works so far for me is asking something about her, if the conversation ends or is dying. From that point on you can also add something to the conversation about lands and your opinion on the people from that place and so on. For me theres always enough to talk about that stuff plus its a nice DHV since you know about other countrys and their people.

For me the key is not to talk about the county in terms of where are you from in terms of streetnumber and so on but its a nice hang on to the rest of the conversation. Then you can lead to other topics and so on. Its totaly ok to talk about that topic in the beginning but it is more important in which way you talk to her.
