Last weekend I was at a club for a friend's birthday, I didn't have aggressive intentions to pick up women but an opportunity opened up while I was getting a drink at the bar. A HB8 came up to the bar to order a drink and I say:

"It'd be selfish of me not to introduce myself."

I figure if delivered right it can work if followed up by cocky funny. Unfortunately it didn't lead anywhere, her response was nothing - just a unattractive facial expression (either piss drunk or didn't speak English). Anyway her friend, also HB8, came up so I start talking to her and she was responsive to some of the situation openers I came across on these boards.

I'm starting to find out what my strengths are when it comes to picking up women and feel situational openers are a strength. I can always come up with an interesting perspective or something funny based on observations and that can build some rapport.

id say something like "why yes it would and i know you wouldnt do something rude like that"... because that makes her qualify herself to you
