So I went to the ups store and I said to myself, if the clerk is any descent looking I would open her. I walked in there and it was just guy clerks so I thought my plan was off. But as I was walking out this cute innocent looking chich turned her head back and made full eyecontact with for 2 seconds and I stared her down until she broke the eye contact. Then I thought I should go for, and reality sunk in. There were a lot of customers around, I got nervous and thought it would make her uncomfortable. I went out the door and have been regretting it. I was late for work so I couldn't wait for her outside. Would it have made her nervous if I went in with a direct opener and asked for #. I was more scared of the other people around than her.

if your eye contact was from attraction, then she wouldhave been highly flattered and given it up

If the eye contact was indeed from attraction then she was hoping you would speak to her as a confident man would, as a guideline (not a rule) if a woman breaks eye contact to below then she is attracted to you, to the side she is undecided and above she is not attracted. If the eye contact break was to below then you wussed out, a perfect opportunity for the opener "I saw you........and had to meet you, what's your name?" then false time constraint and # exchange followed by some texts later along the lines of "our eyes met across crowded room" "the chemistry was so electric even other customers could sense it in the air" "time slowed down as our eyes met like something out of the matrix" believe me women love all this stuff and she will be showing all her friends your texts and telling them how you met......when you swept her off your feet.

Let's get this straight. This chick, was a customer too right?

If she wasn't, their job is to make eye contact, and look friendly and approachable, but routines can still work, if stacked correctly with good body language.

If she was also a customer, she made eye contact for a reason, so why not find out? Like you said, you regret it, so next time, go for it. If you did go for it, even if she rejected you, you wouldn't be regretting not making an approach right?

I'd never go and ask for a number direct, it's cheesy, and many people do it, especially youths, and think they're so good.

Maybe get into light convo, and use a false time constraint, then head off out, if the eye contact and communication is there, she'll believe your FTC, and want to get to know you a bit more.
