Hey guys been a while since I've been on the forum and thats not for a lack of running game, but more a lack of time. Anyways Ive field tested these two openers with a pretty good success rate so y'all might want to give em a try.

The first one usually works on women who are standing by themselves or walking by with a drink. Simply ask them "why do you look so upset? Aren't people supposed to enjoy themselves at bars?" You say this to girls who arent currently smiling and they feel the need to defend themselves and usually have no problem accepting you into a little conversation. Let them continue what they were doing and next time you bump into them say "That looks a little better... you looked like someone ran over your dog before"

The second one works well when you are approaching the bar to order a drink. If you see a girl trying to get one too its usually a good indicator that shes there with friends and not a man so you wont waste time on a possibly fruitless effort. Simply say "I bet I can drink faster than you." A playful challenge, you better not lose if it actually comes to competition otherwise you'll look like a fool... Anyways it usually gets them laughing which is always the best social lubricant (besides alcohol that is, but its implied that's involved because you're at a bar arent you?)

Go out, be friendly to the pretty bartenders, ask them how their night is going. Most people keep interactions on the "I-It level" meaning you dont acknowledge the bartender as a person, but rather a tool to get what you want. You want to get on the "I-You level" where you establish a relationship with the bartender, acknowledging that they are another human being. Not only will it develop rapport with the bartenders, it will also DHV when you come back to the bar and she comes right up to you asking what you would like to order. It helps establish the stage where you're the alpha and that your presence commands attention. All of these ideas are from interpersonal communication classes I took in college, so take them out and give em a whirl and let me know how they go for you!

All the best
-Vernon

If a bartender looks tired I like to ask her if the night will be as long as yesterday and she you can start over talking about her private live, her friends and so on outside the bar. I like such things. Or just a small talk at the cash desk in a supermarket or grocery store, she will not slip away and probably, according to her time table, she will be there the next day. (:

I love talking to bartenders, sometimes the situation can even open a window to pick them up.

I like the first one, but I've been using the second one since I turned 21 last summer :)
Great minds think alike
