hmm, personally I'm not too keen on situational openers - makes you seem a bit chump-like if you go "oooh, nice place isn't it? I remember a bar like this in Spain..." what reason have you for saying that to them? You've gotta have a basic reason to speak to them other than the fact that they're standing near you, e.g. to get a female opinion or whatever

I agree...Once they are on to you the "bitch shield" goes up and you're just another smoe. You have to have a ligitimate reason to talk to them.

I think all these preemptive openers are "all" bullshit because they don't take into account what the situation is. Are you in a club, church, work, school? What are their age? Are they with a group? If so, have you been validated by the head of the group? Openers don't work consistently if you don't know how to handle these situation. In order to handle these situations you must be out on the field practicing all the time.

if your only way to pick up girls is to wait until a natural situation to say something occurs, then you´ll wait forever. That´s what usually happens to me.

You have to be able to risk that her bitch shield comes up if you want any consistency in your PU. The idea is to do the opener and make her feel that EVEN IF you are probably hitting on her she can´t be 100% sure.

That´s what happens to me on a good day.

thats all I got to say boys, I think its alot more entertaining with bitch shield up because you can really do some damage then.

If bitch shield keeps up, hey screw it! walk off elsewhere and show you're not a desperate AFC. In my experiences, I've had a girl come back once and apologise because she was "having a bad day".

There's so many ways, its all depending on situation (once again) but hey.. just have fun with it. Work with whatever you got. Goodluck

I think we all get to worried about opening. Most of the PUA's just say say something and go from there. If you aren't going to keep the convo interesting the PU will fail anyway.

This is usually the only situational opener i will ever use.

personally from what i've read on real important pages, its better to use situational openers especially when you don't have alot of time to think up something canned. After you open (hopefully having the girl talk most of the time) you should be thinking of canned DHV stories, or things to say that go with what you guys are talking about. Basically saying, the more situational and interesting you are (and calm with her) the more natural everything seems. Not sure if that'll work for everyone but its helped me out alot
