I was laying in bed last night thinking about openers and displaying high value. You could open by saying, "Hey could a get a female opinion, do girls care how long your nails are?" then:

Her: Yea a guy with good hygiene.../No I don't really care
You: I fingerpick on a guitar so I have to keep my nails long.
BLAH BLAH BLAH

It could use some work but for the most part this is a good opener and way of showing higher value and could branch off into another subject like:

You: Yea its funny we're talking about this, a few buddies of mine were reminding me about how one time I was playing at a show and my finger nail broke in the middle of "Landslide" (or some other song you would fingerpick on, while also showing talent).

Her: Oh really, I love Fleetwood Mac, bla bla bla

There you go a whole conversation, if you don't flake, but its just an idea.
Any suggestions or comments or other ideas?
