I think it was Gambler that i heard say that in day game you can be pretty direct
and the girl is more accepting and has less of a bitch shield. and the part that
says "some one you mite like" I got from RJ's NLP, basically you can think in to
directions with that it can either mean "I dont know if you're worth my time, prove
yourself to me" or "I have something to offer, stick around and find out what it is".

nice one! Might try that one this weekend. Although I think body language and voice tonality are very important here.

its a snazzy gimmick, but i wouldn't expect anyone to read too hard into it. it's obviously wordplay and while it is funny, if you actually worked through it logically (and assuming she actually cared enough to as well) you are basically admitting you are unsure of yourself and the outcome of the proceeding situation. you are asking her permission to proceed with your opener. by asking her to comment on what you are both pretending to be a purely hypothetical situation you are putting the power in her hands, if she says "no its not a good idea" or "yes it is a good idea" she is still judge, jury, and executioner.

you might as well straight up ask her if you have her permission to talk to her. right before you pay for her meal, carry her purse, and she leaves with spock because he is the master of logic.

I don't like it

hey.. id say it could work.. i think it really depends on thee girl you're approaching..

if shes into the shy guy its witty and shed probably go for it, but if shes the cheerleader type who likes the football players, it probably wouldnt fly...

but hey try it out on a couple different types and let us know how it works..
