Just wondering how you guys would pick up after lecture? Any tips on openers?


Sat next to the finest looking girl, something that is very rare as it was in an I.T lecture.
I was banging my head against the wall for not attempting to talk to her because I had no idea on a decent opener.
Confidence is no issue, it's just the lack of stuff to talk about that prevented me from going for it.

saw a lecture pick up yesterday. i was very impressed because it was so simple and generic and it worked perfectly.

this decent looking girl was sitting in front of me. i noticed this guy come in and look around a bit until he saw her. he walked over and sat down right next to her. he asked her a question about something the professor said and she responded. he then made some jokes about the teacher then lecture started so everyone was quiet. once lecture was over, he suggested that they study together before the midterm (which is next week) and she said sure. he introduced himself, shook her hand, and got her number so they could meet up to study (obviously he just wanted her number).

it was so damn simple. just shows what a little confidence and a smile can do. plus asking the girl to something "non-threatening" like meeting up to study instead of out to dinner is a good way to go.

Nice. Thing is uni just started here, literally the first week.

Not sure if study buddies is a good suggestion as nobody studies in the first 4-5 weeks as it's not really needed .

But yeah sounds great, I'll give it a shot. I just need something else to replace the study line.

Okay I'm not trying to revive this thread, I just remember posting in it waaaay back and I feel it holds some information that may be of some assistance to the OP.
