I like the starbucks opener as well as any other direct or indirect opener but im having a hard time branching off from opener to comfort to numberclose.

Direct Version:
Me: "Excuse me, do you know where the nearest Starbucks is?"
Her: "Ya its just past that building"
Me: "Oh thanks…well actually I don't really want coffee I just wanted to flirt
with you. My names Artisan"
Her: "Haha my names…"

after this part here what happens?

Me: "ha. I like your shoes (her name)"
Her: haha thanks
Me: "You should give me your number in case next time i do need to know where starbucks is"
Her: "Haha ok"

I just find it better to do it after watching/reading about others doing it. So far ive just found the opener but havent found anything going about using it. Any help/links much appreciated

You go from A1 to C1...
Do some routines, neg her... get 2-3 IOI's and THEN give her a compliment... or at least make her show some of her interrests and compliment on them. Not just looks...
ask what she does. Is she a dancer, singer, writer, student at an "amazing" university... etc. Compliment on that. Not looks.. she heard it over and over again...

Then when you did some routines (you look interresting), you did some small negs (you lowerd her value a bit.. after all she's the one who got flirted to so she will fell good)... then you make her feel appreciated for who she is (ask something about what she does/who she is, compliment on THAT) and THEN you can make a further step...

But you seem to skip that part... which is... quite... needed to say at least.
