About two weeks ago, me and my friend were at the bar. My friend is really into this PUA stuff, way more than me and actually uses everything he studies. He went up to these two girls and used the shampoo test. At first they liked the question, and then one of them said, "Is that from the 'pick up artist'?" After saying that, both of them just walked away. The problem these days is that girls are starting to catch on. I see girls reading neil strauss books on the subway all the time..

The real problem is that knowing this has made me less confident with approaching women. I dont know how to counter if i hear "you got that from the pick up artist." Does anyone have any ideas. Cuz no matter how good your game is, once they know that your not being yourself, your screwed.. I will never use generic material again because of that.

If you know what you are doing it wont matter. The true nature of being a mPUA is being able to spin any situation to your advantage.

I was talking to a female friend of mine about the game and she told me she was too smart to have someone "play" her.I then told her that the game works better with a smart girl then a dumb one. After that I felt the need to play a few moves on her. She had no clue I was picking her up till I informed her of it. She then smiles and called me a "bastard" then agreed that it would in fact work on her.

If you get busted using a canned responce, spin it on her and make her feel like she was unapproachable without it.

I tried using the classic canned opener about needing advice about your buddy and his gf arguing, going out of town, and him cheating on her etc.. once, and had the girl just look at me and say, yea ive heard that one before and walked away.

I didn't let it affect my confidence, but I did see the need to start coming up with my own material and stopped using very known canned material.

On the other hand with enough experience I also think you would be able to turn it around. In my case I wasn't even asked. If asked you may be able to turn it into a neg.

I think alot of the examples are just that and should not be used for this exact reason of being overused. Even though it is nice to make use of the true PUA masters materials. Off to brainstorm lol.

A friend of mine got me into PUA a couple weeks ago and I told him if I do this, the moment I begin to, I'm not using canned stuff from other people. That's exactly what I've been doing and it has worked so far. I need to think of more openers though.
