Situation: 25 women on stationary cycles ranging 6 to 9 exercising to music with asses pumping. Something good wherever you look. Five guys at most including me and the instructor out the front, and usually less.

Tried a couple of things without much success (and watched other guys try) and reached a couple of conclusions:

1) The women inhibit each other. Have opened a couple when I was alone with them before class but they clam up as soon as the rest swarm in, and can't be isolated after class before they disappear.

2) Even mild attempts to demonstrate value are stamped on by the instructor - his class, his microphone. All contenders so far have crashed and burned, one being ejected from the class.

3) Steady changeover of women attending - rarely get two cracks at same chick.

I'm going crazy trying to figure out a good approach - it should be a goldmine but I haven't got more than a couple of weak IOI in four months. If anyone has cracked this situation or has some ideas I'd like to hear them ASAP.

I was just in the same situation the other day and thinking that this would be a mecca as well.. I hear what your saying, there are plenty of hotties there but it is hard to approach.

After my last class I got a few ideas and this is what I think might work..

Pick your target at the beginning of the class, get a bike near her, preferably next to her. Maybe drop a casual "hello how are you?" before the class, ask her if she's done the class before if you havent seen her there before.. also talk to the other people around you and do the same thing, just be friendly and positive.

Then perhaps during the slow break parts of the class, look over and give her a little smile or something.. maybe a little nonverbal communication (look at her and give her a little look like "are you tired?") Maybe throw in a little neg if she's struggling. "come on, I know you can keep up"

After the class try to start another chat while your cleaning your bike off, hopefully she doesnt bolt off right after the class.. After that try to continue the chat, if she's receptive continue like a regular set with the ultimate goal of a number close "Are you coming again this week? Here, put your number in my phone and I'll let you know when im coming and we can give each other some encouragement to show up" or something like that. (when you get the number just hand her your phone and assume she'll give you her number, it's my favorite number close)...However if after the initial chat if she's not receptive or seems in a hurry I woulnd't push it, you'll come off very creepy.. they'll always be a new batch of hotties the next day.

Well thats a basic idea.. let me know if it helps.. Spin class is a great opportunity, if you do it right you could almost turn it into an instant date. Your doing a difficult activity together and can use that common bond to your advantage.

Thanks Vince, guess I've been fixated on continuing the conversations I started through the class but should have been thinking alternatives. Non verbal is definitely going to be easier with the level of background noise and instructor/other HB interference, and might bridge the 45 minute gap so the conversation after the class isn't like a cold opening.

Mobile is going to be a bit of a problem in-class but will look natural if I can run into the target when we're leaving. Only hangup there is there never seems to be anyone around when I finish shower and change. Either these chicas take off without showering or they set up house in there. I might have to find something to talk to the receptionist about to keep me at the front counter for a while.

Two shots at it later this week and if I find the winning formula I'll report back. Thanks again.
