I'm new here but I wanted to share a really neat technique for approaching girls.
I call it "cold reading" and it goes like this:
I've found that if I approach women with a purpose... or a meaning... she is much more likely to want to talk with me.
Instead of just giving her a weird opener, I've found it best if I can talk to her about something she's interested in... not about a random topic!
So with this in mind, I started to use a technique called "cold readng" to approach women.
To use this technique - when you see a beautiful woman, you don't approach her to start with. You stay back for a second and occupy yourself with something else... making it seem like you're doing something else.
Then you just need to glance over to her and "read" her body to see if there's anything you can talk to her about.
Anything from jewellry to clothing, I get a quick idea in my head and then walk right up to her and talk to her about it.
Here's an example I used last week:
Me: "That dress is NOT from Italy"
Her: "Huh?"
Me: "Your beautiful designer dress, it can't be from Italy can it?"
Her: "No way!"
Me: "I knew it... but it wouldn't look out of place on the Milan catwalk thats for sure... you modelling it of course".
Her: "Thanks".
Me: "Sorry, it had to be said. There are tons of women around here who don't have a clue about fashion, my name's Joe by the way
Her: "Hi Joe"
Me: "What's your name, you come here a lot?"
Her: "Jane, no it's my first time in this club"..........
We talked through the night.
What I'm trying to say about this little method is that if you can spot certain "signs" and know what they mean, you can get instant, meaningful conversations going.
Often the most difficult "thing" to do in an approach is to get a conversation going. You just need a little "hook" to spark it all off.
What do you think?
Joe

That's a pretty good direct approach to do. But the "way" you did it made it better. Most guys start out building comfort by saying "nice dress" and of course telegraphing interest in the girl. THe way you did it by saying "that dress is NOT from italy" was a better approach. Slight neg in there.
Cold Reading can be a good way to approach and work. However since you are being "direct" you are forcing her to somewhat judge a book by its cover. Where as with an indirect approach she can see you interacting with others and get a better idea of what you are like before you even show interest.
If it works for you and gets you results then that is all that matters! _________________ Been around the world twice, Talked to everyone once...

Coming out with a bold statement shows authority and decisiveness...

Can anyone think of any other cold read openers?
For example,
You: You're a Capricorn aren't you (star sign)?
Her: What?
You: I can tell just by looking at you that you're a Capricorn.
Her: No, I'm a LEO
You: Really? So am I (HIGH FIVE)! <--- lie about your star sign to make a similarity
You: Yeah, LEO's are meant to be really gullible, innocent and naive. Do you agree?!
Her: I'm not!!
You: Oh, are you like stern and serious, then? ... did you drop that?
Her: Drop what (she looks at the floor)
You: Ah, you see, you are gullible.

"Oh I remember you."
"Me?"
"Yeah, you" Confident, raised eyebrow stern look
"From where?"
"You're the girl who stole my jacket!".
"You're kidding!"
"I think you got it, let's see that purse!" Killer grin.
This would take some real charm to pull off.
