I've been on POF since late 2006, I've used tons of different profile descriptions and openers. I usually find something that works, but the methods don't hold effective consistantly. I think it use to be a lot easier to get replies before POF got so huge in the last while, not sure. I've changed my profile soooo many times since I first started. The best response rate I ever got was a profile that was like two sentences. I basically swiped it from what most hot chicks said they wanted in a guy in their profiles, It got almost 100% response rate, but was inconsistent with who I really was, and usually got girls who would give short answers. So I switched it to something more congruent with who I am.

I've had periods where I was getting messaged by really attractive women. My peak on POF was late 2009 to early 2010, I was getting ones who were attractive and also my type personality wise, we'd get along amazingly in person. I've been out with about 20 different women from POF and I've had one short term relationship from it, that lasted about a month. It was a lot of fun! I went on a break from POF for almost eight months after that sucess, which proved to be a huge mistake.

Since then It's been really frustrating. I've had a lot of trouble consistantly getting replys from women who I'm into and getting them really excited about me. I've been out with a few since the start of 2011, but mostly not my type, and I'm just dating them for the sake of staying in the game, and keeping my dating skills honed. I've been out with only two so far this year that I was genuinly attracted to, but it didn't go passed the first date. Though one went really well, I just blew it after the fact by not following up properly. The other one, I was the first person she met online, and she had a nightmare the night before, lol. She said she almost cancelled because of it, but showed anyway. She was super sketched out on the date, hahah! I didn't get a second, but was still a really good learning experience to handel that sort of situation. I had to carry the entire convo the whole night with a very nervous attractive woman, so good experience for future dates at least.

Like I said, I'll change my profile, change my openers, get brief success, then it flops and I've got to reboot and change things up again. WTF is going on here? I want to find something to work CONSISTANTLY.

It's difficult to get replies even from average women latley, I do get some cute ones who message back, but a lot of the conversations just fall away eventually. I almost never get replies from real HB's. It seems almost imposible. I'm in the suburbs, for some reason I never get replies from women in the City (Toronto) Which is the ones I like best, in terms of interests and all.

Anyway, my game seems to have hit a snag and I'm determined to solve this. I'll give a link to my profile. I think it's an awesome profile, lot's of humour. It's just not getting the results I want though. And like I said, it's weird, I have brief success then I've got to change my methods and profile again. I've had the same problem, I've been on it for about 10 months or so. I would hit streaks of 100% replies from really attractive women. I've met about 8 or 9 women from there (3 I found attractive) and all but one were extremely interested. I have gotten sloppy as of late and my response % is down below 50% and I've struggled to keep girls interested. I think there's a few factors but mostly it's your conversations. I don't think profiles have a lot to do past the initial hello. I looked at my previous conversations and they were well thought out and money. As I have gotten much better in live game, I have viewed a little too much of a numbers game and didn't really put too much effort into what I was writing. Another thing is as we all know, good looking girls on these sites get hundreds of messages a week. One girl I went out with showed me her profile and she received 42 random emails that day! A lot of times are messages get mixed in with all the other crap they receive. Some of them very well just may not be interested, but there are so many factors that make online gaming hard. A lot of girls especially mid twenties single girls whose friends are all in serious relationships are freaked out about meeting guys online. Rightfully so too, there are a lot of scumbags that give us a bad name. I think the odds are so much better when laying out live game. Nonetheless, online dating has it's place in the world and should always be applied to add diversity to one's pimping portfolio lol!
