I just opened my first online set with a girl from my school and there are many things I am not sure about, so I'll tell you the whole story and would like to hear what you think of all the different parts of it.

There is this HB9 who is new to my school. I found it very hard to work up the courage to talk to her (tips on that maybe?) but at least I did do something. I somewhat gave her new friends (who are people I know) the idea that I might be interested in her so I am sure that I at least had crossed her mind once.
Okay let's speed up a bit.
Last week we had a school party (is this how you call this in English?). Anyway on that party I only had a short convo with her and since she was drunk or at least tipsy I don't think that she remembers a lot of what I said and did.
This day I saw that one of her friends had put a picture of this HB and her on her profile of Hyves (a Dutch social network site like Facebook/Myspace/etc). I commented something on it like 'Nice picture girls', with a funny emoticon that shows worship.

To my surprise this HB commented something back on my profile and after I did the same thing on her profile she invited me to become friends. On the moment I saw the invitation windows media player started playing the song Rosanne by Toto. Oh wait I forgot to tell you that the name of this HB is Rosanne. Anyway this was great coincidence since there are 6000 songs on my pc and wmp was on shuffle.

I dediced to make a neg out of this and send her a message in which I said that she was creepy and when she asked me why, I told her about what happened with the song and asked her whether it was coincidence or not. I was hoping to have some chitchat about whether things sometimes are meant to be since girls are generally into questions like that.

Unfortunately she replied with: omg I know that song! So cool!

And this is where my real doubt starts.
* What is she trying to say with this answer? Is she negging or what?
* Should I reply?
* If yes, what?
* If no, what should I do then?

It doesn't sound like a neg at all...she's replying to your comment. Don't dwell too long on that though because she's obviously not that interested in talking about it.

If she is a true HB9 (a real popular girl) you can certainly neg her about how she "stalked" you on this social networking site. Make it light/funny though.

You could also run the "divorce opener" in this case (just put that into the search and you'll find the thread). I think it'd work well in this situation.

She seems legitimately excited that you messaged her and hoping that she gets picked up.

That's not a neg at all, however she just showed you an IOI by answering like that!
Only neg her when she starts being a bitch a feeling she is worth more than you.

Keep the Conversation going until you ask for a date and invite a friend cauz she aint coming alone for sure

I didn't take what she said as an IOI so thanks for clarifying that!

My plan of approach will be keeping the conversation going on that site with my version of the divorce opener (I think it's great!), hoping that she's gonna ask me for my msn/number eventually. And if she doesn't do that I will ask her.

Although I sort of had my doubts about using the divorce opener when I was about to press the send button, after minutes of correcting and thinking, I decided to full-trust you Mig, I finally did it.
I can't say I got mind blowing results but I at least made and unusual entrance in her life, compared to all these other boys.

I didn't stay on the path of the divorce opener until the end though, this for 2 reasons
1, since I was going to see her again the next day I thought it would be really weird to just say 'hi' to her in school and then continuing with the divorce opener again that evening.
2, I thought she was losing her interest so after I told her about the memories (pillow fights etc), and she replied with, "no, I can't remember that, i'm sorry(L)", I asked her for her email so I could 'refresh her memories'.

We'll see what the future brings!
