Hello everyone, Im new on here and pretty new on POF.

Im finding the women on there very unresponsive, is it just me thats thinking that or is it a common thing for other users?

I use random questions such as "If you was a man for one week, what would you do to make the most of it and why?" also making the point of TRYING not being naughty (sexual), in a playful way.

I also made comment on a certain subject on their profile and asking more about it, then if they ever did reply Id build on what they said to build interest.

Also playfully teasing about their rather detailed first date requirements or something else I can pick up on their profile.

Am I missing something? Out of about 100 messages, Ive had three reletively pleasant messages that lead to a few more replies so far and about five that have replied but were too boring or snappy to bother with and the rest either 'read deleted' 'unread' or the rather ignorant 'unread deleted'.

Hey WFP, welcome to the forum and to online dating. First off, if you don't live in a big city, I suggest you make a profile in one (just like your current profile) and start by working on girls there. You only get one first impression. If you do live in a big city, no worries...plenty of fish in the sea...

First things "if you was a man for one week..." you've got to use correct English when typing to women. If your spelling/grammar is really poor, type your messages out in Word or something first and let it correct them for you.

Secondly, there are a lot of great field tested openers in this forum, read a bunch of the different topics (I like to scan the number of replies and click on anything over 5 replies). Don't copy openers, but figure them out and you'll start to realize why women reply. Also, no one opener is perfect for every girl; make it fit to her profile.

Lastly, if you are getting a 3% response rate, your profile needs work. I probably can get a 40% reply rate just by sending the message "Have you ever though what it'd be like if" and not saying anymore (girls hate/love cliff hangers...found this line in the text message game section). Post a link to your profile and we'll give you some tips. Don't worry if it's bad, we all started there.[/b]
