| So I was bored and wanted to try sarging online. I've tried the good ol' negging but they haven't gotten me responses. I blended David Shade and Juggler's methods for this HB 7.5.
I'm trying to get her to stop with the 1 sentence replies and have her open up more. She's got a bunch of guys emailing her every day, I gotta try to be the one that grabs her attention.
here's the emails.
Subject line: I'm out of breath
Me:
"Just reading your profile was exhausting but's refreshing to see someone who knows what they want in life but it seems to good to be true, there's gotta be catch why you're not taken."
(Shade teaches to use charm online so I figured compliments will come first before negging)
Her:
"Nope no catch...Just havent found the right person I suppose."
Me:
"I completely understand. But you can go through your whole life looking for the right person. I believe the right person isn't perfect but is a person willing to make the most compromises."
(trying to build rapport by using the "ya, but" instead of disagreeing completely)
Her:
"I guess I agree to an extent. But the thing is...im not looking for someone who is perfect. Just someone who with compliment me well."
Me:
"Ya, it'd be great to find someone where you can joke around with one moment and be completely serious the next. Someone to call you at random moments and just say, "I miss you." Yet isn't overbearing so you can still be some what independent. You know what, you and I are both pretty ambitious people who know what they want out of life. We both put high standards on ourselves so it's easy to see we put high standards on relationships.
That's why I have a few very close friends. They are the ones I can trust with my life. Now I see the catch. A sexy girl who's intelligent and knows what she wants out of life, that's still single = super picky "
(gave my SOI)
Her:
"Im not super picky at all! Thank you very much!!! lol (in fact my friends tell me im not picky enough-some food for thought)"
(her demeanor towards me has changed, she seems more excited after I mentioned she was sexy)
Me:
"Then I have no clue what you're doing on this site. Either you're fed up with dating a bunch of losers and you just have bad B.O. and I'm guessing the latter. =P"
(tried to playfully neg her)
Her:
Im fed up with dating a bunch of losers...and actually have been thinking about deleting my account here...
(Her first major shit test. A couple months ago, I would've said noooo don't delete your account because I wont be able to get to know you better)
Me:
"I think you should."
Her:
"why is that?"
(nowwww I got her attention)
Me:
"I told you why. Girls like you are far and few. Unless you're doing this out of sheer boredom like me you're not going to find much different people here than real life. People here are just more shy than people in the real world. If any thing I think you'd be more disappointed if you met someone here, because they probably couldn't say a coherent sentence when they meet you in person.
"hi"
"what's your name?"
"so what do you do for a living?"
"wanna check out my chia pet collection?"
BOOORRRIINNGGGG."
Her:
"LOL. You are probably correct...."
Me:
"Yup =). And I'm sure 80% of the girls here are either really insecure and need constant compliments. And the other 15% are just real attention whores who will bang all the bad boys but claim to want a nice guy so they get like 100000 messages.
Damn 2 hrs of sleep then going to work for 14 hrs made me a little feisty!
And you know what?! I think we're about to set the record for the most "RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:" in our subject line."
(trying to get her to qualify herself to me)
Her:
"Well...lucky for you, Im the rare 5% that doesnt fall in either of the categories that you mentioned! lol.
Umm....2 hours of sleep off 14 hours of work! you are crazy...sounds alot like what I did all summer...I was perpetually tired....
And....YES!!! I'm glad I could help you in setting the "RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:" record! lol"
Ashley
(perfect she qualified herself to me, isn't replying in small sentences, and gave me her name)
Me:
"Damn you can do math too! I told myself if this girl can do 80 + 15 she's mine.
Ya it was like 12:40ish when I went to sleep last night and I woke up at 3am to get to set by 4:15. But I wouldn't change it for the world. Honestly what other job can you wake up at 3am and be like, "yes, I'm going to work!" Did you like your job in the summer? Cause if you didn't I don't know how you could manage to pull that off.
This message will totally take off the subject line! *throws confetti*
P.S. You finally told me your name, I personally would've never guessed it was Amy. Your screen name threw me completely off."
(negging and more DHVing)
Her:
Lol...your funny. Anyways...what do you do for a living that makes you so excited to wake up at the crack of dawn (or even before)?
Over the summer I actually worked two jobs which is why I was working so many hours (generally 65ish a week). I worked in a doctors office doing back office work. So I was the one who took the patients back and got their vitals and updated charts. Conversed with insurance companies, and did scheduling at hospitals for procedures...stuff like that. And I worked at In-N-Out, and I currently work there. I loved both of my jobs actually. they were both drastically different, but both fun, and the people I worked with where/are amazing.
Ashley
(what is your name?!?!?)
(she asks me for my name, another IOI)
Me:
"I had a dream since high school I wanted to get in to the film industry. It was a tough, super tough goal. One that takes a lot of determination and a lot of luck. A LOT of luck. So after high school, I decided to attend film school even though I was offered scholarships for some no name division 3 schools. It was a no brainer. After graduating from film school, they basically threw me out and said, "good luck and don't let the door hit you and your ass on your way out."
I felt lost. No job placement programs, no post grad help, nothing. Yes I knew quite a bit about film but I wanted to work professionally. To be on a real set, shoot the sh*twith real professionals who know what they're doing. It's inspiring to watch them work. It's like a well designed machine, with all the little pieces that come together to make the dream in to reality. But I got frustrated with all the "low budget, we'll give you credit on film" BS. I thought I'd make a back up plan and get a degree so I went back to community college. There I joined the golf team and met the greatest connection to show biz, my golf coach. He gave lessons to one of the sales rep for the top 10 biggest commercial production companies. My golf coach, out of every f'in possible person, got me an internship. Now I work for free in the production office but I get to go out on set and get paid to work on TV commercials.
Wow I'm sorry this is an essay, but I felt that's the only way I could truely tell you why I love my job.
MM in and out. Maybe next time I go watch an Angels game I'll go stop by there and order a double double animal style. I gotta say I have respect for people working at in and out, they are working their asses off every time I see them.
My name is Onetime23 (changed for privacy) =)
(jugglers storytelling method)
Her:
WOW...that does sound pretty awesome! And yes, we do work our asses off! But we get paid pretty well...so I guess its worth it. And..its nice to "meet" you Onetime23"
Me:
You like the Muse by any chance? I just drove down 2 1/2 hours last night w/ my friend at 7pm to catch their show at 10 at San Diego lol crazy, talk about randomly spontaneous. If you like them you DEFINATELY have to see them live. One of the best live bands I've seen in a long long time.
Her:
Who doesnt like the Muse...honestly! If you like them you need to see brand new live!
Me:
I looked them up on myspace. They're actually playing right down the street from me at the Wiltern in Nov for 3 days and the first day's already sold out, wow. LOL I knew I heard that song before. I have it on my iPod and didn't even realize it was by Brand New. I like that song, old though. I was wondering what ever happened to them, seems like they fell of the face of the Earth.
Her:
Oh, they definitely did not! They are amazing...im glad you now understand. lol
Me:
What do you like about them so much? The lyrics or the music?
Her:
You know...i dont know. I just think that they are amazing all around. You dont agree?
Me:
I thought that their hit song was good. But to be honest I'm gonna need more convincing.
Her:
Go to their show! You will be convinced!
Me:
If I go you gotta go with me.
Her:
Ok! I would definitely be down to see them again! I saw them with dashboard confessional last time! Amazing show
Me:
I like Thrice so it might be pretty good. I'm pretty sure the only night I'm available would be the Sunday on the 4th of Nov. So clear that night up! We're going to the show!
Her:
yay!!! How much are the tickets?? $30
Me:
And what's you're phone number? don't worry I'm only gonna call you like 10 times a day =)
Her:
