This girl finally emailed me back after 3 weeks, I actualy thought I failed here but she's obviously just never online,lol. The previous message i teased her a bit and made a few cute comments on her son, then asked for her number nicely(probably too soon) This is her response today

"Aww..that's so cute. My son was born on my grandmother's birthday, which I know she was so greatful for. I don't think that's such a good idea yet, sorry, I just don't know you well enough yet. Sorry again, I'm old school lol"

This is a girl I like from walmart and found her on facebook..etc. This girl isnt a typical pick-up type youd find in a bar or whatever, shes a plain jane very nice sweet girl, so Im cautious what I say to her. Shes christian, but as my buddy said "she cant be all that religious if she popped a kid out at age 18, go for it" lol

How shall I respond

Well just go with the flow I'd say. For now forget that you ever asked for her number. Just show some genuine interest (not as a buddy though) in her life and share stuff from your life, in short create some kind of a connection/rapport and then flip out a "So.. do you it's time to try to get to know each other even better?" or something like that. This is where indirect approach works well because the direct approach has already been registered once.

Also, if she isn't online too often then to be very honest facebook isn't the best way to approach because it won't leave a lasting impression of yours on her mind. Find some place which she visits often or some place where you can get to talk to her. You could ask her out for a casual coffee where the two of you can get to know each other well.
