Started talking to this girl, she responded positively to my opener, we've sorta been going back and forth slowly over messages. I told her to "Tell me something really cool about you. And don't say something stupid like 'I like hanging out with my friends and listening to music' everybody does that." so she responded saying she models.

This just kinda upped the game, not to mention she's 2 years older than me(a deal worth noting in the game when you're younger). I'm thinking about saying something like "Really? I didn't think you were good looking enough for that. " or something like that. I definitely feel the need to neg her on it, but I'm still getting used to the negging thing, so I don't wanna just all out insult her.

I'm not a fan of putting down a girls looks in any situation, but especially online where you don't have the inflection/tonality to convey it's a joke. Because of that you need to tone negs down in text form. I think the proper attitude to have about a girls looks is "yeah she's hot, but it doesn't impress me because I've been with plenty of hot girls before and have plenty to choose from now"

so if it were me, I'd respond with something like "hmmmm... I said something really cool, what else ya got?" then maybe lead by example with a DHV story of something cool you've done.

What CT said is on point. "I said something cool, what else have you got" is great. I may make a little wink face after it so you don't seem like a douche.
