There are two options for my situation. I'd like some feedback. There's this girl in one of my college classes that I'm very sure is attracted to me. We've talked to eachother once VERY briefly, but never exchanged names. I'm sure she knows my name though just like I know hers. Keep in mind there is only 1 OPTIONAL class left (final test).
The options are: 1) add her to facebook first and talk a bit there or 2) talk to her first in person then add her.
Both these options have pros and cons since this is a very SPECIFIC dilemma.
1) Add her to facebook first. Tell her we're in the same class then ask her when the final is just to open.
Pros:
- Much easier approach.
- No approach anxiety.
- I can easily say something like "what's up" when I see her in class. After the test I could time my exit so we leave at the same time and ask her how she did on the test. Then improv from there.
- If this fails I can back out easily by not going to the last class.
Cons:
- She might not accept the friend request.
- She might wonder how the heck I know her name.
2) Talk to her first. After the test, time my exit so she's behind me. Jokingly open with "are you following me?" Then ask how she did on the test. Tell her my name. Then improv from here. Add her to facebook.
Pros:
- Seems more normal.
Cons:
- Tons of approach anxiety. The whole semester I wanted to talk to this girl and say anything, but never have.
- Might never actually talk to her because of AA.
- She might not go to class since it's an optional test. (Professor drops lowest test grade)
At a cursory glance, it seems like option 1 is more reliable. Option 2 is much more ideal though. I'm just looking for feedback and opinions. Thanks!
