So I've used facebook to manage my game social circle, but I haven't really tried cold approaches before. After reading some posts on here I thought I would give it a go as it could be an extra way of meeting girls on top of the face-to-face work I've been doing.

My profile is pretty good, still working on it but I have enough friends, good contributions and hooks. I found a cute girl that knew around five of my friends and added her straight up. She accepted me and here's how the conversation went from there:

-------------------------------------------------------

Her: Thanks, but do I know you?

Me: Hey :) I figured anyone that knows so many of the same cool people must be worth knowing. Still I guess you could be the nerdy one who just adds all the cool kids...

Her: no loll, how old are u? and where u from?

Me: Hello - you're straight to the point. :P I don't know if I should give you such personal information - you could be a bunny boiler :P

Her: lol.

Me: Not denying it? So you are a bunny boiler?

Her: no lol who the fuk are you?

Me: More questions eh? Well bunny, how about I let you ask me any three questions you like to find out what I'm about. What's question 1?

Her: where you from? how old are you? and why u adding me if i dont no u?

Me: Oh, those are very boring questions bunny! I'm from *hometown*. What's your favourite film?

Her: i dont like u go away/

Me: Well that doesn't seem fair. I didn't get any questions answered! :P

Her: thanks nice, GO AWAY.

Me: Is this cos I'm from *hometown*? I didn't pick you for a snob :P Go on then, tell me your favourite movie and I'll get back to my ghetto :P

Her: noo not coz ur from *hometown*, its coooz i dont like you:L?

Me: Haha. You're so to the point. That's awesome, I bet your friends love getting your opinion on stuff. Hey, maybe I can get your girly opinion on something before I go?

-------------------------------------------------------

At the end of the conversation she had not removed from her friend list, which siurprised me and I wouldn't say for sure she won't hit me back again but this doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

So what do you guys make of it? I set out to be intentionally pushy and try to avoid the friend zone stuff, which I can do well enough. I think the tone matched some of the examples I've seen on here, but obviously I didn't pull it off.

What would you have done differently?
