OK i am brand new to the whole PUA ideal, and before a week ago when i started reading "The Game", i honestly was not aware that there was something like this. I feel like i have learned so much because of that and realized that getting girls is something that can be practiced to be better at. So i'm actually pretty excited about being apart of this!!!

So my question is...

The Setup...

There is a girl that i'm interested in on FB. We're both from the same small town (pop. 6,000)...but we're separated by about 7 years. She just graduated from HS in '09, so i've never really been around her and i'm pretty far removed from people in that age range.

We're not completely unaquainted...my friend use to date her friend. But basically...i'm just trying to figure out a good way to maybe open this up. Its like, we're familiar with each other...so its not like trying to open up a complete stranger.

Well technically i did open it up once...but it might have been not the best time cause i'm pretty sure she was out partying w/ friends.

The other day i was in wal-mart, i was going to take a movie back to the Redbox, yadda yadda yadda...ended up going inside cause some dude was using it first. Ended up seeing her and her GF in there....i guess a more seasoned PUA would have went and opened it up there, but i will admit i don't think i would have done so good right off the bat. I did, bring my Redbox situation into play cause i still needed to return the video...they were checking out as i was out there. I acted like i was having a hard time figuring it out, and when they came out i stopped them and asked if they could help me...i told them i had never used it before. They were in a hurry (going out), we all laughed about it, talked a little, and went on our way. Later....i wanted to use the Redbox situation to try to open up a convo on FB.

this is what i got...

Me: Hey dude, thanks for helping my dumbass figure out the Redbox! I could have been there for hours.....LOL.

Her: Lol my best friend is smart and works at walmart,, haha

Me: LOL. is that the trick to figuring it out? Being smart combined w/ working at wal-mart? LOL.

Her: Hahah I guess that's the whole thing.

Me: Well no wonder i couldn't figure it out! I didn't have the proper training! LOL. Its actually kind of embarrassing, but oh well?....haha!
What were you guys off to do tonight?

(and thats the end of it...no further responses)

Now...i want whoever reads this to be completely honest and brutal on me, tell me what i'm doing wrong so i can work on it....

Keep in mind i think i might have already messed up from the Git-Go cause i'm pretty sure she was out partying w/ friends (Maybe i should have waited until the next day)....but was any of that OK? I mean i'm actually an intelligent dude...i was just trying to play around like she really saved me from myself you know?

I have been doing the non-chalant comments on her status post every once in awhile and she always seems to respond back....

I dunno guys....i've got a lot to learn, i know!....so please help educate me!
