Okay, so I stumbled upon the profile of a HB8 that I found super cute, though I've never met her. Thought, "fuck it," and sent this message:

"Ha, fancy seeing you on here.. sorry for bailing without a goodbye the other night!"

A bit predictable I know, but worth a shot I thought. Got a reply just now:

"I don't think we've met. You must think I'm someone else. So you're bailing without a goodbye is forgiven."

How would you respond? Remember that she is correct in thinking we've never met :P

Oh, it's a pretty small city by the way, we do have some mutual friends..

I was thinking something along the lines of, "Woah, way to CRUSH my self-esteem!! :P You're not the X I met at X the week before last? Said we'd get a beer sometime but then I got dragged off before getting your number..?"

Likely response of her, "No blah blah"

Then me if it all goes to plan, "Well, can we just pretend you are then?!"

Thoughts?
