This girl has liked me in the past, but now she has a boyfriend and I'm curious if previous feelings still exist. We're working on a paper together and arranging a meetup.

not sure recently trying same thing with a girl who liked me in past if they got strong feelings for you already bf shouldn't be to hard to get out of the way. specially if their 18-19 girls have no idea who their supposed to be with.

If you've tried before and she has a boyfriend now - let her go and move on. You're setting yourself up for real hassle and frustration.

There is also a possibility she is simply just liking your attention and needs you around to help with the paper

Assuming you do want to go the masochistic route and try with her, you need to try some boyfriend destroyer techniques.
