As some of you know, I've doing a fair bit of research into the tactics and strategies of the most successful online daters. Lots of cool free stuff that I'm hoping to get feedback on. To start, I just posted a video to my blog, with step-by-step instructions on how to quickly write an effective dating profile http://su.pr/1GmQQq

This technique is intended to take care of some the major stumbling blocks that guys typically enounter with online dating ("I can't write very well", "I don't know where to start", "my profile isn't getting very many responses", etc.). Correctly applied, this technique should take care of all of that.

No opt-in required, just click the "play" button.

I'm very interested in getting feedback from anyone who's willing to actually TAKE ACTION and try this technique out.

Best,
Dan

Good video. It makes you think and useful links too.

Good for experimentation purposes and to brainstorm but you really have to craft your own profile from scratch.Personalisation makes it congruent.

My own experience online is that women are reluctant to contact men first. If I had left it down to women I would never had any 'dates'

Thanks, appreciate the feedback!

You're right about the importance of personalization. Very key.

My own view is that nothing is truly learned "from scrach" ex nihilo though. We typically learn new skills by "seeing" how it's done, and modelling things on that.

You're also right that most women are reluctant to initiate email contact, as a rule of thumb; though I've seen a number of a-tytpical cases, in which the guy's profile generates a steady, high volume of uninitiated emails. In a way, my research is all about investigating the extent to which those a-typical cases can be replicated by others.

Best,
Dan

True, that a good profile will generate more unsolicited contacts than a bad profile and that IS a good thing. I would be very wary about using it as the only source though
